2020 Otago Rally program

 

The 2020 Otago Rally is the opening round of the Asia Pacific and New Zealand rally championships, and hosts the Otago Classic Rally.

The event offers competitors a full program of rally events through early April, with the 2020 Otago Rally program available to download HERE.

‘Intention to Enter’ Forms made available

Supplementary Regulations – Part 2 (Acceptance of Entry) emailed

Will be accepted at discretion of the organiser, however maximum entry numbers will apply

RALLY WEEK

Wednesday 1st April 2020

1200 – 2000 hours Documentation available for those undertaking Media Day and Recce. Rally HQ, Southern Cross Hotel, High Street, Dunedin.

1300 – 1600 hours Media Day (separate registration required for those who wish to participate).

Thursday 2nd April 2020

0645-0700 Report time for reconnaissance for the Sunday stages. Report at Taieri

Mouth approx. 45 minutes drive south of Dunedin

0730 – 1830 hours Two pass convoy reconnaissance for the Sunday stages.

0900 – 1600 hours Headquarters Open, Southern Cross Hotel. Documentation available.

1930 hours Pre rally ‘Dinner with the Stars’ – Southern Cross Hotel

Friday 3rd April 2020

0700 Report time for reconnaissance for the Saturday stages. Report at the start of SS 8 (Black Rock) about 50 minutes drive west of Dunedin

0730– 1530 approx Two pass convoy reconnaissance for the Saturday stages

0900 – 1500 hours Scrutineering and Technical Checks – Venue : TBA (Ref Acceptance of Entry for designated times)

1200 – 1500 hours Documentation – Rally HQ, Southern Cross Hotel – for those not doing recce.

1700 hours Cars to be in place in the Octagon, Dunedin.

1700 – 1800 hours Motorshow : the Octagon, Dunedin

1730 – 1800 hours Autograph Session (Pacific Cup/ NZRC and other invited competitors) – The Octagon

1800 hours Official Opening of Event – the Octagon

1815 hours First Car departs from ceremonial start in the Octagon. All remaining cars follow.

1900 hours First Meeting of Stewards – Rally HQ, Southern Cross Hotel

1930 hours Publication of Start List – Rally HQ, Southern Cross Hotel

2000 hours Novice Briefing – Rally HQ, Southern Cross Hotel

Saturday 4th April 2020

* 0730 hours Leg One commences – First Car departs

* 0835 hours Stage 1 commences

1623 hours First Car arrives at Parc Ferme

1900 hours Progress Results posted for Leg One

Sunday 5th April 2020.

(Note: Daylight Saving ended. Clocks go back 1 hour on Saturday night)

* 0630 hours First Car starts Leg Two

* 0735 hours First Car starts SS8

1500 hours First Car arrives at Finish Ramp – Dunedin Railway Station

1730 hours Provisional Results posted – Rally HQ, Southern Cross Hotel

1900 hours Prize Giving Venue Open – Dunedin Town Hall

2000 hours Prize Giving Ceremony Commences

2200 hours – ?? After Party : Octagon, Dunedin
